This great controversy began in
Heaven between Christ and Satan;
And still today the battle rages
Deep within the heart of man.

It's all about the choices
That everyday we are making;
By these choices we determine
Which side we are taking.

Are we on the Lord's side
In everything we do--
What we feed our minds
And the places we go to?

We have to be firm and resolute
To keep the enemy away
Else he'd enter the soul temple
And that's a great price to pay.

If we're not careful, he lures us
Into his snare of temptations;
When we fully yield to him
We're sure to face damnation.

Fierce is the battle that rages
Strong and mighty is the foe,
But Jesus Christ, our Captain,
The Devil cannot overthrow.

The good book teaches us
To turn away from sin and vanity;
When we keep our eyes on Jesus
We avert spiritual calamity.

We should be on the Lord's side
For we are His precious gems;
He purchased us by His own blood
For His Glory and His Diadem.

So, raise the standard high
Shout for joy! Victory is secure!
His Truth will triumph evermore
Full and free Salvation is sure.

Shout the Good News far and wide
Let the nations all rejoice!
Satan is a defeated foe
Make Jesus, today, your choice!

When the Great Controversy is ended
Satan, sin and sinners are no more;
The entire Universe beats with one pulse of
Harmony and gladness forevermore.

Joy and happiness, light and life
Flow from the Creator above;
Then all in unshadowed beauty and joy
Declare that God is love.
